Two of the most exciting games of the World Cup have taken place yesterday. This was partly because of the surprising strength of the Spanish team on the one hand, and the crazy turns of the match Germany vs. Poland on the other. Spain certainly gained a lot of admiration and I was proud of the achievements of the German team, which was only partly offset by the strategic mistakes within the first half of the game. It’s still a long way to go — but since I don’t feel very talkative today, I’ll just show you a few pictures. Enjoy!
As some people know, I’ve been using a chat client called QQ for a while now. QQ is the largest instant messenger network in China and it’s popular among students of Chinese, who see it as an opportunity to improve their language skills through chatting with native Chinese speakers.
The programme itself is indeed very easy to use. It has one significant downside, though — this is the fact that it only works reliably if the system language is set to Chinese. As you can imagine, this is a meddlesome task, so I was starting to look for alternative clients. This brought me to LumaQQ, a multi-platform Java application, which seems to be quite stable and easy to use.
In case you’re intersted, head over to the LumaQQ homepage and click 下载 (download). Here are a few screenshots for your enjoyment: pic01, pic02, pic03
